Although all four great cities have become self-sufficient since the discovery of the Lac and the creation of the Lac Tap, they still trade goods occasionally, with Grenielle exporting land produce, Hilsh exporting magic potions and medicines, Fru exporting aquatic resources (mainly fish and aquatic weeds) and Cachies exporting books and new inventions.

All four cities, along with most of the independent principalities, use gold and Lac crystal as the two main units of currency.

There is also one bank in the central district of each city, except for Cachies, which has two banks - one in the center of the city and another just outside the sector of Saries.
