There are two predominant schools of belief in JaJarp. The first is Yekair, which centers on the belief that the spirit is the center of every person and that all spirits come from one great life-giving spirit, Diadas. At death, the spirit returns to Diadas until the time comes for it to take another form.

The second, more modern school of belief is Serus, which teaches that the mind is the center of each person and the seat of all magic. Those who embrace this belief are also taught that at death, the mind ceases to exist and therefore, the spirit joins all other spirits in a mystical realm called Uto, where they remain with the powerful god Tormat for all eternity.
