To equip a piece of weapon or armor, simply click on the weapon or armor you want to equip from the Weapon or Armor tab on the right side of the Inventory Panel and choose Use/Equip. The weapon or armor should immediately move to the appropriate box on the left side to show that it is currently equipped.

To unequip a piece of weapon or armor, click on the item and choose Unequip. The weapon or armor should immediately move back to the appropriate box on the right side.
