June 16, 2008 – Roughly over a month since the online release of Rival Saga’s very first version, the Rival Saga team today introduced Build 0.2.5a, featuring the most number of game additions and fixes yet.
Rival Saga’s new game features include the following:
- New Town – Mere (backgrounds will be fully functional in the near future)
- Close button in battle inventory panel
- New quest “Hilsh Messenger” for game play linkage
- Zone level restrictions
- Three rare items as quest rewards
- Health bar to show the amount of health (and healing)
- Improved mechanism to call animations for future features
- New mini-game panel for Jester (You can now talk with Jester to start playing mini-games)
- New mini-game “Rampaging Creek”
- Battle platform now shows skin and hair color
- Can now re-use the loaded character movie clip in the battle platform
- Battle formulas moved to Formula.as (static class)
- Armor mitigation calculation moved from BattlePlatform to Formula.as
- Improved battle platform positioning
The Rival Saga team has also implemented the following fixes to several bugs previously reported by players:
- Functional item icons (No more question marks!)
- Fixed inventory overflow bug
- Fixed equip/unequip bug
- Fixed inventory overflow bug during battle
- Updated a bug which prevented enemy sound effects from being heard
- Updated BattlePlatform for enemy battle scripts
- Fixed skin/hair color change bug when changing map scene
- Stopped the hair vibration of female archer on map menu
- Fixed a crash bug with male knight
- Fixed on-map skill panel
- Fixed Dwende Boss sound effects
- Fixed a bug which prevented armor mitigation from being calculated correctly
- Fixed sound effects of Male Knight
- Fixed a bug which prevented innkeeper from functioning correctly
- Fixed a bug which prevented players from using skills during battle
- Updated the “next” and “previous” page buttons in shop panel
