May 28, 2008 - Today, the Rival Saga team released Build 0.1.4a, the latest version of the free web-based Flash Role-Playing Game from the Rival Saga Company.

Rival Saga Build 0.1.4a comes with the following features:

• Addition of “rest” function for inn keeper (You can now pay 5 gold pieces for full recovery of your health and mana)
• Change of “character_gold” function to “getGold()”, “updateGold()” and “hasEnoughGold()” functions in Character.as
• New capacity of characters to use skill objects
• New repeatable quest “sqch01_03″
• Addition of item drop display in the battle finish screen
• Addition of food to the game (Food can now be used to restore health or mana. Food is cheaper than potions but cannot be used in battle.)
• Addition of item rewards for quests (Item rewards will be shown in the “Complete Quest” popup)
• Addition of option panel (Options inside are not yet fully functional)
• Updated quest icon
• Improved General Orda attack animation
• Fix applied to health bug
• Improved battle start animation position

Aside from these, Rival Saga Build 0.1.4a also marks the first appearance of Philomena in the game. Philomena is a non-playable character, but is one of the most skilled allies and most effective characters in the game. May 23, 2008 – Rival Saga Build 0.1.3a was released today with even more features and improvements to recently added ones. Aside from the fix applied to the potion for male knights and the updated stats display in the inventory, Rival Saga fans from all over the world will get to enjoy the following:

• New item tooltip
• New inventory item
• New item requirement
• Addition of LV display in both the map and battle interfaces
• Addition of block action for male knights

May 14, 2008 - The Rival Saga Company today launched the alpha version of their newest game, Rival Saga (Build 0.1.0a) online. Rival Saga is a free web-based Flash Role-Playing Game (FRPG), which means gamers from all over the world can play it anytime and anywhere as long as they have a PC with Internet connection without installing anything.

“We wanted to give gaming fans all over the world an all-new fantastic experience,” said the Rival Saga team. “We hope they will enjoy all the hard work we put into the game, especially the visual effects and the exciting plot.”

Rival Saga takes place in JaJarp, a vast, mystical continent in the planet of Frell made up of four great cities and various independent settlements - all of which are slowly sinking into civil war due to the plot of an evil, mysterious being called the Overlord, who can only be defeated if the legendary yet elusive Orb of Destruction can be found and destroyed. To do this, there are two initial character classes which the player can choose from - Knight and Archer.
